Great honor for the MMC Movies co-production "Meinen Hass bekommt ihr Nicht!": The film by Kilian Riedhof will celebrate its world premiere at the 75th Locarno Film Festival on Friday 12.08 at 21:30 on the Piazza Grande.
The night of November 13, 2015 changes everything for Antoine Leiris (Pierre Deladonchamps). In an assassination attempt at the Bataclan club in Paris, he loses Hélène (Camélia Jordana), the love of his life and mother of his only seventeen-month-old child. Still completely in shock, he defies the terror and violence in a moving social media post with the hopeful appeal: "You won't get my hate!" His message went around the world and landed on the front page of the daily newspaper Le Monde. In a state of emergency between media attention and endless grief, Antoine now has to find his way in the new reality - especially for the sake of his young son Melvil (Zoé Iorio).
Director Kilian Riedhof has already demonstrated a remarkable directorial sensitivity for national tragedies with his films GLADBECK and DER FALL BARSCHEL. Now he turns his attention to a harrowing incident in European history, showing the personal fate of a man who gives a very remarkable response to the horror of terror. The screenplay is based on the bestseller of the same name by journalist and author Antoine Leiris.
