On Monday, 09.03.2015 the shooting of the feature film ZAZY (AT) by writer and director M.X.Oberg has started.
Zazy (18) is doing an apprenticeship as a tailor in a small town in Trentino. When she meets the elegant and quite wealthy Marianna (39) from Germany, she senses a chance to move up into better society. Together with her boyfriend Tomek (23), Zazy finds a way to worm her way into Marianna's life. Soon the young couple has Marianna in their hands - a sadistic power game begins.
Zazy is played by Ruby O. Fee, who can currently be seen in German cinemas with ALS WIR TRÄUMTEN by Andreas Dresen. ALS WIR TRÄUMTEN celebrated its world premiere in competition at this year's Berlinale. For her role in the crime scene HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SARAH, Ruby O. Fee was awarded the Cinema Jupiter Award for 'Best National Actress' and the Günter Strack Television Award for 'Best Newcomer' in 2014. She is one of the most promising and successful young German actresses.
At Ruby O. Fee's side and in front of Ralf M. Mendle's camera, Paul Boche plays the role of Zazy's friend Tomek, Petra Van de Voort plays Marianna and Philippe Brenninkmeyer her husband Maximilian.
The film is written and directed by M.X.Oberg, who recently scored an international arthouse success with STRATOSPHERE GIRL.
ZAZY (AT) is produced by the Cologne-based production company gilles mann film production with producers Daniel Mann and Marco Gilles in co-production with MMC Movies, Bastie Griese and Philip Borbély in collaboration with WeFadeToGrey, Torus, Maier Bros. and Ludwig camera rental.
